Christian Life Coach

Oaks Grace Coaching, LLC was founded out of my desire to help women discover the confidence, contentment, and peace they can have as they rebuild, redefine, rediscover, and refocus their lives after major life change.

I, like many of you, have personally experienced many transitions in life. At age 37, I experienced a transition that changed my life forever. I found myself widowed with two young boys, after my husband passed away from a ninety-day battle with cancer. The reality of being a single parent, raising two young boys on my own, was scary and daunting to say the least. Knowing what statistics said about boys being raised in a single parent home, drove me on a quest to prove I would not be defeated by my circumstance, nor would my boys become one of the statistics. As my life was marred with grief and uncertainty, I began to emerge a stronger, more confident woman in who I was as a person and more importantly, who I was as a daughter in Christ. During those early days of grief, I began to realize it is not “Me” who gives strength, but it is Him who is within me, that gives me the strength and the sustainability to move through challenges with grace and confidence. It is my desire to encourage women towards finding that same peace and contentment, as they develop a renewed sense of strength and confidence in who they are and who they were called to be. You do not have to be defined by your circumstance, your label, or your position. You do not have to let the challenges you face today cause you undue stress or worry for tomorrow. After all, we are to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God (2 Cor. 1:4).

I am a Certified Professional Life Coach through Christian Coach Institute, which is accredited by the International Coaching Federation. In addition to my coach training and life experience, I hold a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Appalachian State University. I am now remarried to my wonderful husband George. I am the proud parent of two fine young adult sons, and I have two very large, hairy dogs. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, ministering to women in my church, volunteering in my community, and shopping....Every woman loves shopping, right?

If you find yourself feeling stuck in your current circumstance, bogged down with the stressors of life, seeking to gain clarity, meaning, or purpose, or have a desire to grow and become the woman God wants you to be, I would love to partner with you, as your life coach, on your journey to find confidence, contentment, and clarity.
