WHAT IS COACHING?
Coaching is a partnership between a client and a coach. The coaching process helps individuals expand their skills, challenge their thinking, and reach beyond what they know, in order to achieve the unthinkable. Coaching helps individuals uncover their true potential, set and achieve goals for the future, and discover values and passions they never knew existed.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN A COACHING SESSION?
Each coaching session is tailored to the client's needs. During each session, the client will decide what topic and/or goal they would like to work towards. The coach will work with the client to ensure their specific needs are addressed. The coach will actively listen to the client's concerns, ask relevant questions that pertain to the topic, engage in brainstorming, and encourage the client to move towards their specific goals, and uncover hidden passions.
IS COACHING LIKE THERAPY?
Coaching is not therapy nor is coaching, counseling! However, coaching may be therapeutic in itself. Therapy/counseling focuses on a person's past, their trials, their traumas, and their previous experiences. Coaching takes a person from where they are at present and propels them into the future. Coaching looks at a person's present circumstances, helps the individual uncover visions for their future, while examining obstacles, and discovering strategies and plans of action.
HOW LONG WILL THE COACHING PROCESS TAKE?
Although there is no specific time frame in which coaching should end, it is suggested you give it at least a few months. Allowing for this time will ensure you get the most out of the coaching process. Coaching packages range from a few coaching sessions to multiple sessions. At anytime, you can add additional sessions if needed.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL A COACHING SESSION?
From time to time, there will be unexpected events that occur in life. If you need to cancel a coaching session, you are asked to contact your coach 24 hours in advance and notify your coach of the cancellation. If you do not contact your coach within 24 hours of your coaching session, you forfeit that coaching session. In an extreme emergency, your coach will certainly work with you and try to accommodate a new date and time.
HOW DO YOU MEET WITH CLIENTS?
Coaching can be done in person, over the phone, or by Skype/Zoom. Discovery Sessions are usually in person (local only). Subsequent coaching sessions take place by phone, through Skype/Zoom, or in person if local.
WHAT FORM OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
Once a coaching relationship has been established and both parties agree to move forward in the coaching process, the client will be sent an invoice via email. The balance of the invoice is due prior to the first session or can be paid the day of, if the parties meet in person. Credit cards and/or checks will be accepted. The emailed invoice will contain a secure link for the client to pay via credit if they wish.
WILL THERE BE HOMEWORK?
Yes. There may be times when you are encouraged to work on things outside of the coaching session. The assignments are there to help move you forward in your pursuit of achieving goals and accomplishing your desires.
WHAT IS CHRISTIAN LIFE COACHING?
As a Christian and a follower of Christ, I believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God and the biblical truths found in Scripture are profitable for all occasions and situations people face in life. As a Christian Life Coach, the client may choose to have biblical truths used throughout the coaching process to help encourage and equip them to move forward in their life endeavors.
WHAT IF I AM NOT SATISFIED, CAN I GET MY MONEY BACK?
Yes. If at the end of our coaching term, you are not completely satisfied with your coaching experience, I will refund your money. I understand not all coaching relationships are a good match and I do not want you to be unsatisfied with your experience. However, to honor our coaching agreement it is understood you, as the client, agree to be an active participant in the coaching process this includes, showing up on time to our coaching sessions, doing follow up work, and personally taking responsibility to be intentional about the coaching process. If this is not honored, then we will not be able to refund your money.
